The Heart Of Personal Development

What is the heart of personal development? Have you started hearing about personal development, and it sounds interesting? Has it aroused your curiosity? Is personal development showing you more possibilities?

The heart of personal development is growth. There is a fundamental law in the universe that says either something is growing or if it is not, then it is dying. For many education ends when school finishes, either on the day at school or when they say you have either passed or failed. Then we go forward feeling really good, ok or like a big failure!

Where for so many people, and for so long, this used to be the norm, personal development is changing that. Education does not need to end when formal schooling ends. You don’t have to be doomed either with the corporate ladder or a laboring job.

Personal growth is not about knowledge, though some people in personal development keep it as such. Self improvement is about giving you the skills you need to meet a specific objective.

The first step on the journey through personal development begins with goal setting. Setting goals is so crucial as it helps you get clear on what you exactly want in life. This is important, as without knowing what you want, no personal development course can help you. You must know what you want, and utilize deeper understanding and more advanced courses of personal development to achieve what you want.

The journey of personal development is a long one with no end. As all people are different, yet the same - no personal development course can make a one size fits all type of course. Your journey is your journey, and though you may need to goal set at this time, another may need to tackle limiting beliefs. Likewise if you need to break limiting beliefs first, another may need to start on goal setting.

This makes goal setting an ever more important reason to learn how to set goals first. Without knowing how to set goals, then you can’t know what you need to get there. Without a goal setting strategy, and personal development, you may not be able to find that limiting belief, and ultimately pluck it out. Personal development courses, books, and seminars can help with all of this.

More wealth, more health, more success and happiness are some of the benefits of taking the personal development path. You can grow to become a better human being or at least the person you always wanted to be.

For some the courses, the books and seminars are not enough to meet there needs. Life coaches are people who help on a more personal level to find the answers you seek. Whereas a course or personal development book may not answer all your questions, the life coach in most cases can.

Whatever your needs, a life coach, a product, a personal development book or seminar exists that can truly change your life. When you can know what you want, and how to find that information, and carefully, and persistently apply it, you will achieve.

There exists a better world. A world that has the better version of you. The bridge to get there is personal development through personal growth. Personal development is getting bigger, and it benefits you with more products and coaches that may just help you cut the time to get there.

From Goal Setting To Goal Achievement

Sometimes we often think that goal setting is the only thing necessary to do, to achieve a goal. We hear of all the goal setting products, and wonder which work. Some do, however, this is not the only ingredients needed to achieve a set goal.

A look at the stats and you will see that about 7% of people goal set. Now this is not the kind of goal setting exercise you perform at New Year. You know those goal setting practices. Say your resolution to friends and family. In comes the New Year, and before February the set goal and any hope of its achievement is forgotten like the hangover!

Resolving to be different and learning about goal setting and how to set goals effectively will not necessarily help. Your first findings with how to set goals may show you to write them down. And this is a great way to start, but it does not determine the results you will get.

Achieving goals needs a few other ingredients than just writing them down. Getting from goal setting to achieving your desires is a process that can take time. If we take a look at those 7% of people who ever set goals, you will find that 2-3% actually achieve there goals. And 1% only ever achieves financial freedom, the kind that we often dream about.

How are you to curb the gap? In fact looking at the figures may make you weary. After all you may consider that out of every 100 people only 1 will get financially independent, and 3 people including that financially free person will ever achieve there goals.

Perhaps a different approach is needed. If we consider that the percentages of the goal setters are a 100% figure, then we can conclude that 50-60% of people achieve a goal they set.

You can curb that gap, and get into that 2-3% or even that top 1%, which with the new thinking is actually a 10% chance of succeeding at achieving the goal you set. Now this is the science part of goal setting.

And taking this further than just science to the art of achievement would be topics such as looking into your mindset, your beliefs, and your self image. Another is affirmations and visualizations, not to mention how you structure your goals.

I have seen many goal setting systems over the years. Most of the ‘how to set goals’ products never really do that, they just give you the big picture. This leaves having to look for all the pieces of the puzzle. Though each part can come together to help you with setting goals which ultimately turn to reality.

Together with these personal development goal setting products, an action orientated mindset is required. Simply writing down your goals takes you a long way from the simple New Years resolution, it helps you focus.

Is Success An End Goal?

In a rat race? Are you here and your goal somewhere over there? For so many people the goal is always tomorrow, the retirement, and all the things of value are left till a future date. Is this really how the true successful work?

Your most pressing questions. When will I achieve this goal? We need to understand perspective, where you are and where you want to get to. It is like hot and cold. Many people play the lottery because of fundamental thought patterns of the majority. When I win the lottery, I am rich, but when it is gone, I’m poor, they will say.

The truth is that when you look at the true successful, this is hogwash. Your actions today will determine your results tomorrow. But, if your spirit of action today is about all your bills and not about wealth and success today, then can you really expect to win?

You must begin to feel successful right now. Yes at the period, you must be a success. Not when you achieve something, because tomorrow never comes. When you can be successful now, then your tomorrow will be successful.

Depression and boredom are 2 products of not doing what you really want, putting things to doing them at another time. However, this thinking brings us to a paradox, and it is in the question of is success an end goal?

No one ever has awoken to say I have achieved it all. Those that do, if they have not set new a new lofty vision, ideals and goals, then they soon find about the fundamentals of life. That is life is either growing or dying. Your goals and vision should always be one step ahead of your present reality.

What is needed to be fulfilled for you to feel successful? Can’t you begin to find things that make you successful now? So, why is it important to think of success as a journey instead of an end goal? If you think of something you always wanted. You gradually got this material thing. The question is, but how long did that make you feel happy, successful, etc? All too often the goals enthusiasm diminishes right when we achieve it.

You can break out, and start being a success today, when you consider the things that make you feel successful right now. A lot of workaholics may disagree, they may say that you must work to succeed, and I agree. However, with simply putting in the effort is only one part of the equation. Your mental state is the other, because your frame of mind must be on success for you to be a success.

So many people look for happiness. They can’t seem to find it. Whatever they do, happiness is not there. The answer is not trying to find happiness, but to be happiness. The age old saying of you must be, before you can have, and you must do before you can have anything is so important.

I have studied numerous successful people. From those who wanted to find there sole mate to those that have achieved becoming billionaires, and in all cases you find that it was not being in a negative state to find a positive state. But, being the positive first before you can achieve the goal.

So success is a journey, not an end result. You may have a yardstick, and say this is my summit, my peak, but the only true way of achieving anything is to be now as you will be when you are successful.
